Location: Asamushi Onsen (Asamushi Hot Spring), Aomori Prefecture
Welcome to Tsubakikan. This Modern Ryokan (see definition of ryokan styles below) has 2 main buildings - a "honkan" and a "shinkan". There are 26 Japanese-style guest rooms at Tsubakikan. There are 6 indoor and 2 outdoor hot spring baths for both women and men (same gender only). The men's indoor rock baths can accommodate up to 50 bathers, and the women's indoor rock baths can also hold up to 50 bathers. All baths are located on the 1st floor. The outdoor hot spring rock baths are much smaller, and can only accommodate up to 8 bathers each. There is also a "family bath" which can be privately reserved by the guests. Please ask at the front desk for details when checking in. Traditional Japanese-style cuisine is served to the guests at Tsubakikan. Check-in time is after 15:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am. Parking is available.
Directions: It is a 7 minute walk from JR Asamushi Onsen train station to Tsubakikan. A pick-up service is also available (reservations are necessary).
