Description

Moto-Hakone Guest House

Location: Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture

Welcome to the Moto-Hakone Guest House. This Standard Ryokan (see definition of ryokan styles below) has Japanese-style guest rooms, and none of the guest rooms have private baths and toilets. There are indoor baths (not hot spring baths) for both women and men (same gender only), and they are open 24 hours a day. There is an outdoor hot spring bath nearby which is open to the public. This area offers good views of Mt Fuji (weather permitting) and it is also close to the Hakone Shrine, Cedar Avenue, and the Old Check Point. Check-in time is after 15:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am. English is spoken. Important Travel Warning: It takes a long time to go through customs at Narita International Airport and then travel to Hakone. If your plane lands in the early morning at Narita International Airport, you can make it to a Hakone ryokan in time for dinner. However, if your plane arrives after 10:00 am you WILL NOT be able to make it in time for dinner. You should stay at least 1 night in Tokyo and then go to Hakone the next day.
