Description

Ryuguden

Location: Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture

Welcome to Ryuguden. This large, elegant Ryokan Hotel (see definition of ryokan styles below) has 2 main buildings - a Honkan and a Shinkan. There are 20 Japanese-style guest rooms in the Honkan, and they all command a view of Lake Ashinoko. The Shinkan has 24 Japanese-style guest rooms, and guests can see either Lake Ashinoko or the Gairinzan mountains. On a very clear day, Mt Fuji can also be seen from the hotel. All of the guest rooms at Ryuguden have their own private bath and toilet. In both buildings there are large, shared hot spring baths for both women and men (same gender only). Traditional, Japanese-style cuisine is served to the guests at Ryuguden. Check-in time is after 14:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am. Important Travel Warning: It takes a long time to go through customs at Narita International Airport and then travel to Hakone. If your plane lands in the early morning at Narita International Airport, you can make it to a Hakone ryokan in time for dinner. However, if your plane arrives after 10:00am you WILL NOT be able to make it in time for dinner. You should stay at least 1 night in Tokyo and then go to Hakone the next day.
