Description

Yugiriso

Location: Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture

Welcome to Yugiriso. This Modern Ryokan (see definition of ryokan styles below) has 2 buildings - a "honkan" (original building) and a "bekkan" (annex). The buildings are almost the same but the main difference is the guest rooms. In the honkan, all guest rooms are 10 tatami mats and have private baths (not hot spring baths) and toilets. In the bekkan, all guest rooms are 8 tatami mats and only have private toilets. There are shared indoor hot spring baths at Yugiriso for both women and men (same gender only). There are also two shared outdoor hot spring baths (same gender only), and special bath times for families. Fresh, seasonal cuisine is served at Yugiriso to the guests throughout the year. In the honkan, all meals are served in the guest rooms but in the bekkan only dinner is served in the guest room (breakfast is served in the dining area). Also, the meals served in the honkan are a little larger than the meals served in the bekkan. Check-in time is after 15:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am. Parking is available and a little English is spoken. Important Travel Warning: It takes a long time to go through customs at Narita International Airport and then travel to Hakone. If your plane lands in the early morning at Narita International Airport, you can make it to a Hakone ryokan in time for dinner. However, if your plane arrives after 10:00 am you WILL NOT be able to make it in time for dinner. You should stay at least 1 night in Tokyo and then go to Hakone the next day.
