Hanayabessho

Location: Bessho Onsen (Bessho Hot Spring), Nagano Prefecture

Welcome to Hanayabessho. This Modern Ryokan (see definition of ryokan styles below) has 44 Japanese-style rooms, and 14 of the rooms have their own hot spring bath. There are indoor and outdoor hot spring baths for both women and men (same sex only), and there is also a mixed hot spring bath (both sexes) at Hanayabessho. The women's indoor hot spring bath holds up to 30 bathers, and the men's indoor hot spring bath can accommodate up to 10 bathers. Both baths are open 24 hours a day. The indoor mixed hot spring bath can hold up to 30 bathers and it is open 24 hours a day. The outdoor hot spring baths are open from 3:00pm until 10:00pm and both baths can accommodate up to 10 bathers each. At Hanayabessho, fresh, seasonal Japanese-style cuisine is served to the guests. Check-in time is after 3:00pm and check-out time is before 10:00am. Parking is available.

Directions: From Tokyo train station, take the "shinkansen" (bullet train) to JR Ueda train station. At JR Ueda train station, take the train on the Ueda Dentetsu Rail Line to Bessho-Onsen train station. From the train station, it is a 5 minute walk to Hanayabessho.
