Masagokan Inn is considered a courtly and historic inn buried deep within the mountains of Kakegawa.
The Masagokan Inn was built in 1984, Keeping to the traditional Japanese style. It has within its walls ceremonial tearooms and has kept the feel of tradition within its Meiji Era architecture.
Masagokan have a wide range of spacious rooms including those equipped with outdoor baths and beautiful garden views.
Masagokan also boasts "soothing baths that will cover your skin in a veil of smoothness. The waters will soften your hair and make it shine. The hot springs will tempt you to enter time and time again. The water to rinse with after your bath is also 100% mineral spring water to give you total relaxation". Private family baths are also available for rental.
The meals here consist of seasonal kaiseki cuisine. One of their famous seasonal dishes is a hotpot of Miso Soup containing the meat of wild boars. Meals are served in the Suirentei Restaurant between mid-June and mid-August amidst an environment of blossoming lotuses.
