By train: 2 hours and 40 minutes by train from Tokyo. Take the JR “Tokaido Line” heading for “Atami”.
At Atami change to the JR “Ito Line” heading for “Ito” Then at Ito change to the JR “Izukyu line” heading to “Shimoda” station

From Shimoda station there is a pick up service that runs every 30 minutes from 14:30-17:00. No Need to make a reservation.
