Description

Kotonoyume Entrance

Location: Takayama, Gifu Prefecture

Welcome to Kotonoyume. This Traditional Ryokan has relaxing indoor and outdoor hot spring baths and an Old Takayama feel. In the lobby there is a Japanese sunken hearth where you can sit down and relax. Each floor has a theme with the 3rd floor showing the old city town life, the 4th floor shows the festival and the 5th floor show the natural side of the city. In the evening you will be able to relax in the ryokans hot spring baths including an open air bath. The baths are divided by gender but if you are looking for privacy the ryokan offers a “family bath” on the 5th floor, which you can rent for 40 minutes. Please ask your front desk staff about costs and availability. Meals are made from local ingredients and elegantly served.
