Looking for something really fun for you and your children? Here is an ideal program for you. Try your hand at drumming a traditional Japanese drum known as a Taiko. This form of drumming will penetrate your heart and you use your whole body. You will also have a great workout so please do not forget a towel. The taiko training center is in the middle of Kyoto city and you will not miss it!

1. Contact us by using our BOOK/INQUIRY Form with your preferred date(s). The taiko session will be either a private session or a joint session with other regular students.
2. JGH will issue a confirmation with the date and time and answer any questions you may have.
3. You will come to the Taiko studio by yourself where our English speaking staff will be waiting.
4. You will start with some stretching exercises to prevent injury. Then you will be taught how to hold the sticks, and begin drumming. The session is about 1.5 hours.
5. At the end of the lesson, you will be able to play a certain tune with the instructor. And will have had a good work out and a sense of accomplishment.
6. After the lesson, our English speaking staff will be happy to answer any questions you have as well as show you how to get back to your hotel or to your next destination.
