Description

Sansui

Location: Onuma Onsen (Onuma Hot Spring), Hokkaido

Welcome to Sansui. This 2 storey Traditional Ryokan (see definition of ryokan styles below) has 14 Japanese-style rooms, and it is located on the shores of Lake Konuma and from the ryokan guests can see Mount Komagatake. Sansui is in Onuma Kokutei Koen which is a national park, and this very quiet ryokan was once a favorite retreat for the Japanese Emperor Showa and his family. There are indoor hot spring baths for both women and men (same sex only), and they are open 24 hours a day. Traditional Japanese cuisine is served and the owners are particularly proud of their fresh sashimi dishes. Check-in time is after 3:00pm and check-out time is before 10:00am. Parking is available.
