Welcome to the Sounkyo Kanko Hotel. This is a very, very large Ryokan Hotel (see definition of ryokan styles below) with a “Honkan” (original building) and a “Bekkan” (newer building), and 242 guest rooms. Most of the guest rooms at the Sounkyo Kanko Hotel are Japanese-style rooms, and each room has its own bath and toilet. There are both indoor and outdoor hot spring baths at the Sounkyo Kanko Hotel. The women's indoor hot spring bath holds up to 170 guests and it is open 24 hours a day. The men's indoor hot spring bath holds up to 150 guests and it is open 24 hours a day. The outdoor hot spring baths both hold up to 15 guests, and from these baths guests can relax and enjoy a view of the surrounding mountains. The women's outdoor hot spring bath is open 24 hours a day, and the men's outdoor hot spring bath is open from 3:00pm to midnight. Fresh, local cuisine is served to the guests throughout the year at the Sounkyo Kanko Hotel. Check-in time is after 3:00pm and check-out time is before 10:00am. Parking is available.
