Heianbo

Location: Kyoto

Welcome to Heianbo. Ideally located minutes from JR Kyoto train station, this Traditional Ryokan (see definition of ryokan styles below) is full of character and atmosphere. Within Heianbo, guests cross a small, traditional Japanese bridge to reach the guest rooms. All of the 20 guest rooms at Heianbo are Japanese-style, and most of the guest rooms have their own private baths and toilets (there are 2 guest rooms without their own private toilets or bathing facilities). Check-in time is after 15:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am. Parking is available (please ask at the front desk for directions to the parking area). Notice for guests with allergies: this ryokan has 2 pet cats.

Directions: Exit JR Kyoto train station and go to Karasuma Dori (Karasuma Street) which runs directly up from the train station. Go up Karasuma Dori on the left side. When you pass the Kintetsu Department Store, take a sharp left down a narrow street and you will find Heianbo (a reddish building on your right side just past a parking area. Note: Please ask the staff at Heianbo for parking directions if you arrive by car.
