Description

Ishicho Shogikuen

Location: Kyoto

Welcome to Ishicho Shogikuen. This Modern Ryokan(see definition of ryokan styles below) has 2 main buildings - a 'honkan" (original building) and their "oyado isicho" which is their annex. Ishicho Shogikuen is located in central Kyoto beside the Kamogawa River, and it is also located on the former residence of Kogoro Katsura, who was a noble patriot during the Meiji Restoration. All 50 guest rooms at Ishicho Shogikuen are traditional Japanese-style, and each room has its own private bath and toilet. There is also a hot spring bath for the guests. There is 1 shared bath for women and 2 shared baths for men. Japanese-style meals are served at Ishicho Shogikuen, and guests may dine in the privacy of their own room. Check-in time is after 15:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am.
