Azumaen

Location: Mount Unzen, Nagasaki Prefecture

Welcome to Azumaen. This beautiful Luxurious Ryokan (see definition of ryokan styles below) is located near the active volcano Mount Unzen and Mount Unzen National Park. There are 27 Japanese and Western-style rooms in Azumaen, and each guest room has its own private bath and toilet. All guest rooms at Azumaen look out over the nearby Oshidori Pond. There are 2 indoor hot spring baths for women and 2 indoor hot spring baths for men. The baths hold up to 50 bathers each and the bathing hours are from 5:00 am to 1:00 am. Saunas are also available. Check-in time is after 14:00 and check-out time is before 11:00 am. Parking is available.

Directions: It is a 90 minute bus ride from Nagasaki Airport to Mount Unzen and Azumaen. It is a 60 minute bus ride from JR Isahaya train station to Azumaen.
