Location: Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture
Welcome to Sharatei. This Modern Ryokan (see definition of ryokan styles below), first opened in 1964, is located in the beautiful and diverse natural environment of the Hakone area. There are 6 Japanese style rooms and 4 Japanese-Western style rooms, each with a private bath (not hot spring water) and toilet. There are 2 indoor and 2 outdoor hot spring baths (same gender), open 14:00-11:00 (with a 15-20 minute shutdown time for readjusting the water temperature). A family hot spring bath is also available for free - please inquire at the front desk during check-in for more information. Traditional Japanese cuisine is served to guests at Sharatei. Check-in time is after 14:00 and check-out is before 11:00. Parking is available. Modern Ryokan
