Saito Bekkan

Location: Shiobara Onsen (Shiobara Hot Spring), Nagano Prefecture

Welcome to Saito Bekkan. There are 2 ryokans here - a "Bekkan" and a "Honkan" located in very peaceful surroundings. Saito Bekkan is Traditional Ryokan (see definition of ryokan styles below) and has 10 Japanese-style rooms and 1 Western-style room. There are hot spring baths for both women and men (same gender only), and they are open 24 hours a day. There is also a family bath which can be privately reserved (please ask at the front desk for details). Local cuisine such as grilled river fish and beef "shabu-shabu" are served to the guests at Saito Bekkan. Check-in time is after 15:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am.

Directions: From JR Matsumoto train station, it is a 30 minute train ride on the Kamikochi railway line to JR Shin Shimashima train station. From JR Shin Shimashima train station, it is a 55 minute bus ride to Shirabone Onsen (Shirabone Hot Springs) and Saito Bekkan.
