Welcome to the Kamikochi Shimizuya Hotel. This Ryokan Hotel (see definition of ryokan styles below) is open from April to early November. The Kamikochi Shimizuya Hotel has 38 Western style and Japanese style rooms, and each room has its own private toilet and hot spring water in the bath. There are also indoor hot spring baths (women's and men's baths are open from 14:00 to 9:00), and outdoor hot spring baths (women's and men's rock baths with a view of the nearby forest and are open from 14:00 to 9:00). The outdoor hot spring baths are open from April 27 to the end of November, and all baths separated by gender. Western style dinners are served to guests at Kamikochi Shimizuya Hotel. Check-in time is from 14:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am.

Directions: From JR Shinjuku station in Tokyo, take the JR Tokkyu Azusa to JR Matsumoto train station (2 hours and 30 minutes). From JR Matsumoto train station take the Matsumoto Dentetsu line to Shin-Shimajima train station. (30 minutes). The last bus leaving from Shin-Shimajima train station to Kamikochi (get off at the Kamikochi Teikoku Hotel Mae bus stop) is 16:45 (75 minutes). It is an 8 minute walk from the Teikoku Hotel Mae Bus Stop to the Kamikochi Shimizuya Hotel.
