Welcome to Horai. This first-class, Traditional Ryokan (see definition of ryokan styles below) has over a 250 year history and it has hosted a number of famous Japanese writers including Yukio Mishima. Horai has 16 traditional Japanese-style rooms which look out over the ocean. Each room consists of a 12 tatami mat room, an 8 tatami mat room, and a Japanese "hinoki" (cypress) bath. The shared hot spring bath (same gender only) is not to be missed. It commands a spectacular view of Sagami Bay, and at night bathers can sit back and enjoy the flickering lights of the boats. The food at Horai is excellent and only the best local produce is served to the guests. Check in time is after 14:30 and check-out time is before 11:00 am. Parking is available.
