I studied 'Hotel and Restaurant Management' and 'Culinary
Arts' in San Francisco, USA. After working at various restaurants
in the Bay Area, my husband Martin (who was an executive chef at
several hotels and restaurants) and I then operated a French-style delicatessen.
I have been teaching, demonstrating, and writing about American
(regional, holiday, and especially Californian) and International
cooking in Japan for a number of years. Food is my strong suit,
