"Thank you is a totally inadequate expression to relay
just how grateful and appreciative I am to you for making our visit to
Kyoto, and to your village, Kameoka and most especially to your home. So
memorable - every second of the time we've been with you. You've shared
yourself so completely that I am overwhelmed by your spirit and only
hope that someday I can reciprocate your generous hospitality. Thank you
too for teaching us so much about Japan and its history, culture, and
people. The friendship and welcome given to us by you and your friends
is a memory to cherish always - may we once again celebrate "hanami"
(cherry blossom viewing) together." (DK, Los Angeles, USA)
"Although I am young and have so many things to learn in this life,
through all my travels I have never had the privilege to 'truly' spend
time with someone in their home as I have with you. After receiving your
first e-mail responding to my desire to bring my mom to Kameoka and stay
with you I knew my time here would be special. Also, that my mom would
get to see, even if just for 3 days, all of the things about Japan that
has made me fall in love with this country. I am positive my mom will
remember her time here most (first time with chopsticks, having miso
soup, and going to an 'onsen' - hot spring) and anything I show her
after this experience will not have the 'heart' and 'enthusiasm' you so
genuinely bring along when traveling...I will think of you (which will
be often!). I hope someday I can find a way to show you how much my time
with you has meant. Maybe we can go on a trip together (not in Tokyo!)
or you can come visit Chicago. Until I see you again, thank you for
being you! (Chicago, USA)
"What more could a visitor wish for? A beautiful and serene environment,
delicious food, and warm, gracious, and extremely knowledgeable
hosts...perfect! You have both made us feel so much 'at home' and yet,
also provided us with so much insight into the things that are very
different from our homes (native and adopted). We look forward to
continuing friendship. We hope to return again and also to enjoy showing
you 'the other side' of Hong Kong. Thank you for a super experience!"
(CE&TE, Hong Kong, China)
"From the bottom of my heart I wish to thank you for the wonderful
experience of staying at your beautiful, traditional Japanese house, the
warm welcome, and the opportunity to share our indescribable experience.
You are not only an extremely professional guide, but also a person with
a very warm heart who make guests feel at home from the very first
second. It's a real pleasure to stay at your place and I regret very
much I have to leave already. I hope you keep inviting tourists to your
home because I planned already to return here (in spring and autumn).
You are not just a guide, but I have the feeling we are real friends. If
you ever visit Belgium, you can be my guest. Thank you so much for
everything!" (DW, Belgium)
"This rates as one of the best places we have ever stayed in (and there
have been many) with the friendliest possible hostess. What better way
to start a visit to Japan than with a proficient and knowledgeable
guide. Nothing has been too much trouble. It has been such a pleasure to
sample your delicious, healthy, Japanese food. Every aspect of our visit
has been a delight, so many firsts - raw fish, hot spring baths, a
typhoon! You have done everything possible to make us feel part of the
family. We have had so much fun and will remember our stay with great
affection." (P&R, Lymington, UK)
